I have a 4, almost 5 year old son who will be starting preschool this year (has been totally potty trained for about 2 and a half years), and I'm just wondering when boys usually start standing to pee and if that's something I'm supposed to teach him π
He's done "bush wees" outside standing up, but has never used a urinal or stood to use the toilet at home because it's so tall and I just think it's messy.
Just wondering what the norm is I guess.

You can get toddler urinals to fit on your bathroom wall , obviously you will have to empty it, bit like a potty but could use this until he's taller. Get a step for toilet ? Xx

All our boys learn to wee standing up outside and once they're tall enough to wee in the toilet standing they've done so that being said there's nothing wrong with them sitting when my boyfriend's not in a hurry and not in public restrooms he sits down it's a personal preference thing as they get older

On a side note my nephews and bonus sons all understand the importance of sitting down to use the restroom in public until they can learn to be standing without putting their pants all the way to the ground so they don't get anything on them from bathroom floors
