Homeschool vs public school

OK, I got my son into public school but he’s hasn’t been evaluated yet. I’m suspecting that he has autism but a mild autism I believe that because he’s able to speak and understand all directions. I won’t get the diagnosis back until August 28. I’m able to homeschool him, but I wanted him to get social interaction with kids of his age not just his older siblings. When I enrolled into school, but the kids in his class don’t speak. There autistic and he’s the only one that is speaking and understanding to the point that he needs to be out of that class and moved to a different room. They told me that was temporary, but didn’t give me any other option to where he would be place after the diagnosis. Any suggestions?

A different school. If they placed him in a special needs class before there was an actual diagnosis that's a problem. Parents shouldn't be able to self report like that.

Well that's strange and dumb cause I just learned that my severe autistic boy that's only semi verbal will be joining in a regular classroom with just a one on one aid even though he can't do a fraction of what normal 6 year olds can can't even draw a straight line or any shape and he is diagnosed but I im having to get him an IEP so he won't be thrown into a full day of school right off the bat cause he only can handle 2 hrs at time where he is getting therapy right now

Public school has been very hard for my daughter who i very much suspect is on the spectrum. In younger years kids were nicer and didn't notice her differences. As time went on she has been bullied and tricked by kids ect even physically harmed. The school doesnt care to help me help her. If I could go back in time I would have taken her out after 1st grade or not even got her into school. The only friend she made that I agree with is a kind girl who is also homeschooled now due to bullying as well.

I think it's all about personal experience ans what you feel comfortable with. Make sure wherever your son is placed he communicates and let's you know how the other kids are treating him.
