Hey ladies, need some advice so my son has had diarrhea for the past two days and has this rash on his eyes and his face. I took him to the pediatrician this morning and the pediatrician said that he has some sort of viral infection he thinks not willing to run any additional test And says it’s nothing to worry about and should recover on its own. I’m gonna send a video to show you. You guys tell me if you agree or if you think I should get a second opinion.

He is teething

He won’t take any teethers and ones that you Velcro to his hands I’ve tried, and he ends up, hitting himself in the face or the head with it, and the doctor didn’t agree with any teething medication‘s

Newborns get a lot of skin changes within first weeks, my son has rashes and shedding of skin too, if he is his usual self and not crying or seem to be in discomfort I would just monitor him. Could be something viral or maybe reaction to something in your diet as well? And as in diarrhea. If you breastfeed.. it’s like a yellowish clear fluid in poos? Cause that’s what I remember my son having.

Get second opinion! And I hope he gets well soon 💕

two months is way too early for teething, my first born got his first two at 8 months

some babies get teeth early. All the kids are different. Rash and diarrhoea is teething symptoms.

it’s not too early at all, a lot of babies start teething around 2/3 months but teeth don’t cut until later.
Our lo has had runny poo’s - teething related we believe as never had a problem before and he is dribbling so much.
The rash could be coincidence and be heat rash maybe? Or even just a bit of baby acne.

My son will be 4 months next week!

Get second opinion. My daughter had pneumonia. when we went to the doctor, they said she was teething.

Awwwww so cute. Girl they babies he be alright for his face use regular vaseline at night. By morning want see all that redness

You guys it’s spreading

It wasn’t on the top of his head yesterday and this morning it is

My son had the exact same over his head. He was ok in himself, though, so I wasn't worried. How is he? Is his temperature ok and his breathing? Babies pick up so many things and as mothers we worry about everything from funny farts to sneezing lol. I never gave mine anything processed like sugar or anything to effect his immune system just in case. My friend said she changed fabric softener and her girl came out in a terrible rash it scared the shit out of her! If you're worried, follow your instincts and get a second opinion ❤️
