I just brought a over sized pj top/nightie from primark. That way they can still use monitors underneath coz it's roomy it is open at bottom and long enough so that everything isn't on show if I'm not wearing any underwear and it's airy and breathable so I don't sweat to death

With my 1st I just wore a loose nighty, but honestly when youโ€™re in labour and red hot you donโ€™t care what youโ€™re wearing, Iโ€™d say something you donโ€™t mind getting dirty x

Iโ€™ve done the same and bought an oversized nightie from Primark! Navy colour and cheap so I can chuck it if I want.

Thanks girls! It was one of those silly things I hadn't considered yet ๐Ÿ˜… Time for a trip to primark I think!

I will be wearing a support bra as Iโ€™ve opted in for a water birth. Even if I donโ€™t get my water birth (birth pools limited at my local hospital) I will still give birth with only A support bra on xx

Iโ€™m also taking a couple over sized pj tops I already own for afterwards// before whilst in the lead up as well as a vest top for afterwards breast feeding if possible xx

I plan on wearing a hospital gown. Donโ€™t want to spend my money on something Iโ€™ll probably not wear again

Avatar

just check that ur hospital actually provided gowns for labour because ik a lot of them don't

Avatar

I wore a hospital gown for my first. Iโ€™m assuming the hospital Iโ€™m giving birth in has these as well

I wore whatever I was in for each labour and then got naked/into a gown basically asap ๐Ÿ˜‚. I did not want clothes on at ALL. And then I wear something as loose and flowy as possible afterwards because I don't want anything touching me.

I wore a hospital gown and Iโ€™m glad I did, was loose, could administer the epidural with the open back and I wasnโ€™t responsible for the dirty laundry!

Avatar

@Kate weirdly I hadn't even considered a hospital gown but that makes sense! Will have to ask my midwife if I can just ask for one when I get to the hospital ๐Ÿ‘

for my first I thought I had to pack something and did but then they put me in a gown and it was ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
