Anyone else dealing with placenta previa and anxiety around early delivery via c section? I found out about it at 20 week scan, and will recheck at 28 weeks. I’m in week 25 now, but I also switched obgyn practices recently and I am just feeling overall unsettled and anxious about my care. I know that nothing can be done except wait and see, but I’ve been told it would be a c section at 36 weeks if my placenta doesn’t move. It’s also making me question if I should switch to a better hospital but further away, especially if baby might need NICU. I had a full term vagjnal delivery with my daughter, and although it broke me (bladder prolapse haha sob) I haven’t had major surgery before and was hoping to avoid it. Blaaah!

I was diagnosed at my 20 week with vasa previa! Super nervous over here

I was diagnosed with previa at 23 weeks, they told me that most of the time the placenta moves but if it doesn’t I will need a c-section. This is my first baby and I’ve never had any surgeries or medical procedures so I’m sooooo nervous about it. Keeping my fingers crossed that it moves I guess

What week of pregnancy are they going to recheck you guys? Also, did they say it would be a c-section at 36 weeks or would they let you go longer?

They said they were gonna re-check at 30 weeks, they didn’t give me a timeline for the c-section though, I think they’re just crossing that bridge when we get there.

They didn't say anything more yet I see my MFM on Monday again

With my second pregnancy I was diagnosed with this at 20 weeks but by 24 weeks the placenta had moved and everything was ok. It is very possible that it moves and you still have time

Thank you for the responses mamas! ❤️
