You’re only two days overdue, you’ve got lots of time

Im also only a couple days overdue and my emotions have been in check throughout most of my pregnancy (bar some external stress) till my due date. I cry at nothing now 😭 I think its external pressure from hubby, family and friends and their impatience because I wasn’t that impatient before. Made me realise why some people advise not telling others of the due date 😓

Bubba will come in her own time 🫶🏼

This is me too! I think we have expectations as my 1st was 3 days early so i just assumed i wouldn't go overdue. Now im so impatient. The waiting game is tough!!

I'm not even overdue yet and I'm getting impatient. I'm trying to tell myself anytime in the next few weeks rather than less than a week until my due date lol. My daughter kissed my tummy this morning and said "mummy said you come out when you're ready so come out today and I can cuddle you."

It's very likely baby will come in the next week for you though so not long, you've got this.

I went into labour at 7:30pm when I was 40+2 with my daughter so there’s time yet 👀 also don’t forget that due dates don’t mean much.. in France your due date is actually 41 weeks! Just try and schedule something each day that you really enjoy doing to pass the time x

I felt exactly the same before my baby came. My first came 2 weeks early and my second came just before my due date. The night I went into labour I had said to her “if you don’t come out soon they’re going to induce me. You don’t want that and neither do I so let’s go” try that 😂

😂 I was having so much anxiety as I was going to get the sweep done that week so I needed her out asap. Hopefully it works for you too!

I’m 40 weeks Friday, my daughter come a few days early and I just have a feeling this one is going to be a pain in the butt- really didn’t want to get to stretch and sweep or induction stage lol

I’m 40 weeks 3 days, and I wake up disappointed every morning that I haven’t gone into labor 😭 my first came at 41 weeks 3 days so I expected this, but it’s hard

I’m 40+3 at the moment and got my midwife appointment in an hours time. I really don’t want to have a sweep tbh rather her come when she’s ready as people say but I don’t know what to do for the best x

I’ve got a sweep booked for Saturday, this is my third pregnancy and never had to have one, although in 2 minds as loads of people say they don’t work but I want this baby out, rather a sweep than induction though

it is hard :/ I’m 39+5 and so ready for this to be over. Hang in there. Have you had a sweep or anything ?

I had a sweep on the 14th and one on the 20th and have felt absolutely nothing ! … you can try and if you feel uncomfortable you can tell her to stop I did that one the 14th so technically didn’t have one. On the 20th she could find my cervix but not the babies head 🤣 . But only do what you want you can always book a sweep for next few days and cancel it

I have a growth scan tomorrow as my bump hasn’t grown since 25th July. But I hoping the don’t have to induce me as I don’t want any medication as I had a bad experience with my son

right ok. You say uncomfortable but not painful? Yeah suppose could say no today and ask for later in the week?

Im having a boy this time, what you are having? I’d planned lots of walks in, however , I’ve ended up being sent to a&e 3 times in 2 weeks due to swelling and suspected dvt, (it isn’t) but now on a crutch cos my foot/ankle , walks are what got me through lol! Had dates and the tea, and I’m single so can’t try sex with a partner lol have you tried anything x

Oh goodness that’s not good is it painful? Nope haven’t tried anything been relaxing mostly hahaha

Yeah I’ve cried a couple of times 😫due to the pain ergh! Hopefully it goes after birth. My son was 6 days late but my daughter 3 days early so got a feeling I’ll go over lol! Awwww! How many do you have? Hope our bubd are here soon, they say if your relaxed it helps lol
I’ve been stressed so he will probs stay in there forever 😂

have you got any other symptoms or anything?? Like I feel fine very very tired this week but feel fine. Legs sometimes feel tight but if I move around they’re better. I’ve got a son but this was 15 years ago since I had him and it was a concealed pregnancy so totally different this time around x

I feel stressed today though really emotional then I’ve curbed the alloy on our new car so I’ve cried about that now got midwife in 40 mins and stressing about that

I feel shattered like I’m in the first trimester again, lol! And I’ve also got nausea again this week 😫! Just wanted the long walks so bad, although I’ve still been active cos I’m abit ocd so actually it’s worse just cleaning and then having to rest my leg lol! Awww same! My son is 15, daughter 11 so feels like this is my first baby again lol x

oh don’t I feel like I’m really anxious and emotional too :( 🤗 I also had a flat tyre so that peed me off lol but it’s sorted now phew! Good luck at your midwife, are you agreeing to a stretch or going to deny it? X

ohhh wow bet it does feel like your first it’s how I feel too! I have undiagnosed ocd with cleaning too hahshshsh!

Everything has changed and it’s so overwhelming lol so I bet you get it. That’s why I wanted to get out as much as I could so I can’t stsrt anymore crazy jobs haha!


I’ve never had one, however, I’ve said I will give mine a go Saturday, however she said that it’s even about the body if your body is ready and if they can perform due to the cervix etc. I guess you could give a try but if you’re not comfortable just say no. I bet I get mine Saturday and it does nothing. I just don’t want to get induced 🤞maybe you will know once you step in the room how you feel

I had a sweep yesterday morning, but no labor yet

Ahh was it uncomfortable?? Or painful? Did they offer you a second if it hasn’t worked after so many days etc? I don’t mind getting one, it’s being induced I dealt don’t want lol but I have no expectation it’s even going to work x

yes uncomfortable, with my first child I had 2 that didn’t work and they were painful. But I will get another one before I’d have to get induced

Oh no! 🤞 the 2nd works for you this time, induction is my worry.

Was your midwife fine about it though? It’s absolutely fine not to want it done tbh, has she discussed next steps 🤗

I just wanted to share my experience. On Sunday I was 41 weeks. I decided to be induced. When I went in I was already 2cm (I had no signs of labour) I had my waters broken and within an hour I was having contractions. I didn't have any other interventions (at one point it was suggested I'd have a hormone drip). My baby arrived after 5 hours. She just needed a little nudge. I was really apprehensive about induction but it was a great experience

this is so lovely !! Did you have any medication?

With my son I was dilating but I had no contractions so they had to give me hormone drip and when those contractions started it was so horrible I had to opt for a pain relief which sadly wasn’t the best choice for baby so this time I’m really trying to avoid the drip and induction!

But every births different so I can only do what’s best at the time

why wasn’t it ok for baby?

I broke down in tears I haven’t a clue what’s wrong with me today so she said it’s fine then rang the hospital where I’m at and booked me in for induction next Tuesday

I had morphine and it’s known to make babies tired .. and it made my son a little to tired and he had to be resuscitated due to it.

With my current pregnancy baby already has a heart condition so I’m very anxious as time is getting closer to induction but I’m sure the doctors won’t allow anything that could potentially harm her knowing her condition.

@Portia I had paracetamol, dihydracodeine and gas and air when things ramped up. I was keen to avoid an epidural and didn't feel I needed it. I also had a 2nd degree tear

Thankyou !! I had a 2nd degree tear aswell ! I’m trying to just do gas and air hopefully tens machine and music 🎵 🤣

@Portia we had music on and I think that helped. I had pethidine with my son and I didn't want to have that again but I managed fine this time, I think because it was soooo much quicker
