I’m not sure if I’ve done the right thing, but I’ve packed some short sleeve vests x3, sleep suits x3, then going home outfit and a cardigan just in case I thought can always leave the cardigan off xx

It depends on the weather where you are.
I live in the south so it really doesn’t start to cool off until mid-late October. It’s cool in the morning and night but hot during the day.
However, baby’s struggle to regulate temperature on their own and it’s just kind of my culture to make sure baby stays warm 😁
I’ll have some short sleeve onesies and also long sleeve onesies/sleepers. The long sleeves are not extremely thick so I’ll probably put a short sleeve onesie on baby with a sleeper on top. And I’ll definitely have a blanket to cover baby and/or the car seat. We’ll be leaving a cold hospital and only live 10 minutes away so I think this should be fine. However, all of these layers are removable should I deem it too hot for baby to wear.

When I went into hospital I took five of everything for my baby clothing wise as you don’t know for sure how long you will be in for xx

So sorry! I’m from the UK so my advice is probably irrelevant xx

It depends on how much they actually weighs coming out you need 2-3 NB outfits, 2 0-3ms at least 2 sleepers with the footies and a hat and mitten set and a going home outfit. You really don’t need to pack much for them actually. They just say bring different sizes as you don’t know exactly what they can and can’t fit once born.

For heading home, I will just put babe in a sleeper, and then a cozy blanket over top! Too many layers in a car seat is not safe. In the hospital, we will be doing as much skin to skin as possible, so nothing except a diaper, and we will have cozy blankets for us.

I will add that I am bringing 2 NB size sleepers, and one NB size outfit (onesie, pants and sweater) but all are mainly for announcement photos and then going home of course. My first son was small (fit into preemie clothes) so I’m expecting the same this time which is why I’m not bringing any 0-3m. My son wasn’t in that size til 1 month and he was born 3 days past his due date, so not early or anything lol. If our hospital stay is extended for any reason, hubby will drive home and get whatever else baby needs!

I’m curious when your due date is 😭

They say dress baby how you'd dress plus an extra layer, so for example if it's warm you would wear something light, and if it's cold you'd layer up. Baby just needs an extra layer to what you'd wear

28.9 🙏🏼

Usually they supply a sleep sack while in hospital and one to take home and clothes if you ask they are just white little onesies I brought a bunch of cute outfits and she ended up only wearing like two and we were there for a week but you really don’t use outfits till your doing photos or about to go home they stay in sleep sack most of time and diaper

omg I’m the 24th of sept!!
