I’ve been for my 34 week appointment today and the midwife has measured baby on the 90th fundal height (36cm) does this mean my baby is large? She said everything is healthy and is progressing in the right direction, but I’m unsure how much baby is actually weighing?

Just be aware that these growth scans can be highly inaccurate. I would try not to worry, I’ve heard from many woman where the estimated birth weight was nowhere near the weight of the baby at birth. And also in general it’s better if its estimated bigger than too small, at the same time it’s unlikely for your body to „produce“ a baby that’s too big for you to deliver naturally.
On my growth chart it’s giving the estimated weight, not the size, and 90th percentile around 8 pound I think. All the best x

No it doesn't really mean anything tbh! I measured on or a bit above the 75th centile throughout my first pregnancy but my baby was born 15th centile! It's just to make sure you/baby are consistently growing

All of my fundal height measurements have been above the top line - so don't worry! As long as the progress is consistent and baby is growing, that's the most important thing ☺️

I’m in the same boat with my measurements and everything g I’m seeing says they’re not the most accurate of measurements in terms of literal weight and size. If they were particularly worried they’d send you for a growth scan :) and I think you need to be off the charts for that.
Try not to worry, it’s positive that baby is growing and healthy.
But any concerns have a chat to your midwife for reassurance 🥰🥰

Thanks for the reassurance ladies! I was just a bit confused because she said all is well and healthy at my appointment but heard that 90th percentile is big so unsure what to believe x

It doesn’t mean much at all my bump been measuring 6 weeks ahead since 28 weeks , if you were over 97th centile they would then usually do a growth scan my baby was something silly like 200th centile from my fundal height so was sent for growth scans he does measure over 100th centile but he’s perfectly healthy x
