Group strep B

I’ve had GBS with my first born. They should put a sticker on your birth notes, so that they are aware of it, if you going into labour. They’ll just give you antibiotics through your veins in labour to prevent it going into baby while delivering. There’s no need for an induction just because of group b strep. I was 41+2 going in labour naturally. Baby might get monitored after birth to look out for any symptoms, but if everything looks fine you can usually leave hospital after 24 hours. X

I have it too. It shouldn't mean you need to be induced early or anything like that, but you will have to have IV antibiotics in labour - they do this as a precaution to stop it passing to the baby x

No info best to check with midwife ? How and when do you get tested x
