Hey mamas,
Im reaching week 9 pp after an elective c-section. I’m still bleeding regularly and have clots (sorry for the tmi). I’ve spoken with my general family doctor and have had an ultrasound since to check for left over placenta tissue. The sonographer told me she was able to find some left over tissue which could be a cause for the continuous bleeding. Long story short.. I can’t see my doctor to discuss the results until another 2 weeks as she’s booked out. Is this something I should follow up with ASAP as I’ve heard people say that you may possibly need day surgery to clean out the left over tissue and if not it can lead to further problems?

I was bleeding 12 weeks (doctor said was normal) however one day i went to the loo and passed a mass of tissue (was quite traumatic) but ive not bled since, im now 17 weeks PP and got an ultrasound in 2 weeks to double check its all gone. I would say the sooner its gone the better! But it may pass on its own
