Advice? Tips?

I’m currently having my first miscarriage. We were hoping it was just spotting or a light bleeding during first pregnancy but I started heavily bleeding during my appointment and it’s continued. OB pretty much confirmed it’s a miscarriage and just doing another hcg draw to see if im continuing to drop. 😭

Sorry to hear this. It depends on how far along, but since they sent you home it sounds like you will pass it at home and not need a procedure or medication. My miscarriage that I did at home was emotional, I honestly sat on the toilet for 4 hours, 24 hours after I first started bleeding, there were large clots, but nothing looked like a baby. I remember wondering if I should go to the ER, I called my doctor and they said do whichever you prefer, I decided being on my own toilet would be more comfortable than waiting in a waiting room. I wore Always Discreet afterwards and felt tired. I always wondered if I went to the ER if they could have done more testing on the tissue to tell me why it happened, that was my only regret, but I decided being home was more comfortable. I then had weekly blood draws to make sure my hcg levels dropped to zero which they did (took a 1.5 months to get there). If you are in your second trimester going to the ER is a must.

And if you end up needing the D&C procedure (where you are put to sleep) than you will not need the weekly blood draws after.

I’m so sorry about your miscarriage but thank you for telling me your experience.
I wasn’t too far along. I was supposed to be 6 weeks tomorrow. The OB I saw today prescribed me meds to take tomorrow. But ya based on the bleeding I’m having so far I went ahead and started using some women’s depends I used from my first pregnancy I had left over. Hoping that this process just goes as well as it can. I’m definitely extremely emotional still. But I follow up as well in a couple weeks with my hcg to see when it drops completely before we consider when we try again for our rainbow baby.

Thank you in advance! 🥰

Help

I was getting pretty painful period cramps and during those, I had painful lower back cramps. I had these on and off for like a few hours so from about 10:30pm to 1am?

I’ve had no show, or anything like that.

Is this braxton hicks or early labour pains?

Labour??

I’ve had on/off mild period cramps since 9 last night, very irregular and very mild, but I just had one that woke me up. My waters haven’t gone and nor has my mucous plug… but could this be a sign that it’s close?! I’m 40+3 and desperate to meet her!

Early waters/pre term labour?

I can’t get checked until later today unfortunately. I can’t tell if I’m leaking/starting early. I definitely think I’m having braxton hicks yesterday and today.. i have some pain in my back but she is quite low down so hoping it’s just pressure, baby was a little quieter yesterday but she’s back to more normal movements today, but my underwear just seems to get so wet, especially after going to the bathroom. And I honestly can’t work out the smell, I’m pretty sure it’s just discharge/urine leaking but there’s that worry in my mind a little. Are there any other ways to know/check if it could be the start of it all?
