Nurofen WILL help more than calpol as ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory, which is probably why she settles better with it.
We’ve really gotten on with Anbesol liquid and not needed anything else recently (touch wood!) so far.
At the nursery, they’ve also recommended spring/green onions before for teething too as apparently they have analgesic properties! I’ve also used frozen cloths (sometimes dipped in a weak chamomile tea for extra relief), frozen fruit snacks (I did banana and yogurt bites) and things like raw carrot batons to gnaw on and they’ve also helped in the past! Xx

Have you tried the ambesol liquid? The pharmacy may have this over the counter. It was a life saver for our little one.
But in all honesty for nighttime - calpol every 4 hours and calprofen (ibrofen) every 6/8 hours - if you phase it that you give calpol then the ibrofen 2 hours later it’s most effective. Needs must at times if it’s helping your little one through the pain.
