Awww my son will he 3 in March next year. .. I always find it emotional and then I think to the day he was ment to be born and just feel amazed how far we've come!
You will feel a whole wave of emotions I personally found our experience a positive one, but like yourself and others it will bring flashbacks etc.... it's a part of the journey ✨️

Totally normal to feel this ❤️ the night before was tough for us, especially for my husband who had PTSD from the birth (he was told jus how poorly I was, whereas I wasn't so has always been worse for him thinking he nearly lost us both). But....we still had a lovely day, made lots of memories did all the first birthday things :)
I've not used it myself, but miracle moon on Instagram/Facebook have a workbook/info on navigating birthdays after NICU which could be helpful :) xx

This is so normal ❤️ nowhere else would you be expected to celebrate the anniversary of a big trauma. I always find the lead up to it is worse than the day, and once the day has ended there’s a relief. Miracle moon on instagram has some really good info about this xx
