So I was put on it last week and I've been struggling with it since. I tried building it up like the nurse told me to but I had to stop taking it yesterday as I just couldn't tolerate it, I took 4 yesterday like what they tell you to do I didn't bother to take any at all this morning but I did take one with my tea this evening but even so I've been to the toilet 3 times.... I'm going to try again take 2 a day for a few days and build my self up but if I can't I'm going to have to call up to work something out. This pregnancy has already been an emotional rollercoaster I don't need medication making me ill ontop 🥲

i had to ring them and tell them it wasn’t working for me, i had the slow release tablets as well and still couldnt get away with it!

that's the exact same ones I'm on the slow release and even last night I had a high reading when taking my bloods. I wasn't well at all yesterday, I'm going to just take 2 a day for a few days and see what happens if not then yeah I'm gonna ring up and tell them I ain't taking them to make my self ill everyday. I'm already in pain, exhausted and feel heavy asf without the side effects of the medication.

they put me on insulin injections because of it and i do find them much better, they’re not the most comfortable of things to administer and i found them really daunting at first but i’ve personally found no side effects at all x

I have tried a few times to take it while not pregnant and it is awful can’t imagine how you feel pregnant taking it. I refuse to try again literally my body couldn’t handle it.

I found taking my tablets an hour after food so it’s a little later helped so much. We get up early so I have breakfast at 5:30 then take it at 6:30, then in the evening don’t eat too late, again I eat around 5:30ish and take it around 7pm and I’ve gone from having really high numbers to all green because I feel it’s lasting night to morning much better. Mine also asked me to increase but I tried this method first and I’m getting away with just 2 per day only. It’s worth playing around with them and also your diet to see what works for your body. I eat protein with every meal so breakfast I have porridge with seeds then a big handful of walnuts and 2 baby bell, this keep those numbers low. Lunch and dinner again lots of protein.
