Heavy metal detoxing for speech delay

My son is 19 months old and I had to fill out two questionnaires for him recently that made me start questioning if he has a speech delay. He says words here and there but the questionnaire made it seem like he should be saying 2-3 word sentences like “want milk” or “me want ball.” I’ve been trying to get him to say “want milk” for months but he still just cries in the general area where I prepare his milk until I figure out that’s what he wants. I’ve noticed too he’ll try to say certain words that I know he knows but it seems like he struggles to actually make the word come out of his mouth. He also has some sensory issues. We have used Costco Kirkland baby wipes since forever and while I pregnant with my second he basically lived off gerber and beech nut baby food and I’ve seen all of those brands come under heat lately for containing heavy metals. Has anyone else done a heavy metal detox on your toddler? What was your experience like during and after? Is it worth a try?
