Food when travelling
We’re going on holiday with a long journey split over 2 days. Top tips/ recommendations for food to carry when out and about?? We usually make everything from scratch but at times like this I wish there were more vegan pouch/prepped food as feel it’s easier to travel with! Otherwise feel like she’s gonna end up eating baguette & humous for 6 meals in a row 😂
Haha 😂 I always freeze things so that they defrost for later on in the journey. Things like pasta meals that aren't too hard to eat on the go. And take a good sized cool bag with ice packs to keep everything fresh. Presumably you are staying somewhere overnight so can refrigerate and refreeze ice packs? The dairy free yogurt pouches are great. Lots of homemade snacks bars, veggie muffins etc mini cucumbers are great and then you will need to supplement with dried snacks. Dried fruit, nuts some crackers/bread sticks. Croissante and nut butter. Bananas are a good one.
