Baby food

When are we supposed to start giving baby solid and water.
My baby is currently 9 weeks I’m exclusively breastfeeding and feel extremely week after every breastfeed these days I feel light headed need to grab something to eat.
Even after eating enough just feel the constant need to eat because of which I seem to be gaining weight

No idea what to do ……..

Solid foods

When you started to give 1st bite of solid food to the girl?

Does anyone else’s pediatrician say it’s fine to give a couple ounces of juice?

My son’s pediatrician told me that I can give him a couple ounces of apple or pear juice to help him with going to the bathroom since he’s always had inconsistent BMs. Lately I’ve had people tell me that it’s dangerous to give him anything other than baby formula and baby food. Is this true or just someone trying to fear monger?

Any other baby still not interested in solids?

Baby just turned six months on the 23rd so I decided to have him try a little bit of avocado and he’s somewhat ate some but he still hasn’t really shown much interest in food. And I just tried to give them avocado again and he wasn’t really opening his mouth or anything. Are any other babies like this? Any advice?

6 week olds legs and arms still skinny?

Hey mamas, should I be concerned that my baby’s arms and legs are still super skinny? He’s 6 weeks old and is gaining weight but ive seen other peoples 6 week old baby’s and they seem to have much chunkier arms and legs? he exclusively breast feeds but I’ve had mixed reviews on this with some saying it makes baby’s chubby and some saying formula does.

Why he is not eating

My almost 7 months old doesn’t eat anything. I give him fruit purées, vegetables purées, oatmeal but he only wants milk. Is your baby eating well?
Whenever i try he only eats one spoon barely 2.
What should i do? Even i tried when he is hungry but he cries for milk. Give me some idea. Also he is not sitting on his own i have to support him. And he is not rolling but he tries.

Feeding Bibs Etc

What’s everyone’s bib situation for feeding solids? No matter what I do clothes, necks legs, arms all seem to get food and stains all over and ai have twins so it’s hard to keep things under control 😂

Almost 11 months

So my little girl is on 4 bottles a day 1x 6oz 3x 7oz. But has no interest in proper food really. Loves eating fruit and little snacks but when it comes to meals she won’t eat Constantly turns her face away and will only eat smooth purees I’m struggling atm as I’m offering different food but not matter what I put in front of her she won’t eat it and will gag if it’s not smooth.

Easy Meal Ideas for 9 Month Old

During our first few weeks of Baby Led Weaning I feel like I was cooking it up with the meals but it got draining very fast. Ive also fell into a bit of a depression so it's also been difficult to cook for myslef let alone my baby 😭 but we've still been doing oatmeal in the morning, purées and snacks. Does anyone have any quick easy meal ideas? Also how many meals does your baby eat in a day?

Have you tried the magic spoon? 🤔

Ive been feeding my almost 8mo purees for about a month maybe month and a half. Ive just used the regular baby spoons and he would mostly spit out whatever I gave him. He recently started swallowing a little more but still not a lot. Maybe a teaspoon the whole meal if that😞 And he also would only open his mouth once or twice, the rest of the time Id have to make him smile to open his mouth. But today I ran out of spoons (they were all in the dishwasher) so I used one of the fun spoons we have (I'll put a picture in comments) but it's an elephant and it's adorable, but it's also a magic spoon! Every single bite he opened his mouth and actually swallowed most if not all of it!!! And I tested it with 2 different foods, one that he rejected multiple time before! I was in complete shock cause j thought I was doing something wrong this whole time. Turns out I just needed the magic spoon!😂

Baby bels

Today I was telling my MIL what I had in the cupboards/fridge as she was looking after my 14 month old for the day. I mentioned he had a vegetable pin wheel, various fruits and said there were some mini baby which he enjoys. She suddenly responded ‘baby bels are the worst thing you could possibly give him’ and told me they’re full of salt. They have 0.34 grams of salt in and he doesn’t have one every day and I never add salts to his food (zero salt stock cubes etc) and he didn’t try things like baby bels until 13 months as I was really careful with salt.

I’ve been upset ever since and had mum guilt. Am I being over sensitive or would you be upset by this comment? And does anyone else give their LO mini babybels occasionally or is she right and are they so bad for him? He’s breastfed and doesn’t drink cows milk when offered so I’ve been trying to give him various cheeses and yoghurts to keep his calcium up.

Son won't feed himself

My son is eating a variety of different foods from pureed to mashed stuff we are eating. He is very food interested. To pulled apart food. But he is not interested in feeding himself. Bottle or even just tiny bits of cereal.
Any advice?
