Weaning

How are people getting on with baby led weaning? We’re on day 4 (my baby is 6months 3 days) but my baby is not actually eating anything, he takes some off the spoon but a lot seems to come out again - I believe this is normal to begin with but I’m wondering is there a cut off and when should I start to worry about his food intake if it doesn’t pick up? We’re using the Charlotte Stirling-Reed book so it’s all veg to begin with. I’m starting to wonder if I offered a porridge would he take more of it. Thanks

Any advice please?

Hey Mamas 👋

Looking for some advice, My little one has just turned 9 months old (he was born 4 weeks early so corrected age 8 months - Just for context), he is only tolerating puree or mashed food - when I introduce him to lumpier texture he gags and then vomits (also his milk that he has has an hour before any food) He has food through those dummy things (cut up fruit etc). I have mentioned it to my GP and he wasn’t concerned.

He also plays with finger food and rarely eats it.

Has anyone been through this should I wait and see (like dr advises as milk is still there main source of “food”)?

Thanks in advance 💖

Solids

Hi! My daughter is 10.5 months old. Sometimes she doesn't like the meals I make and refuses to eat them. When that happens, do you offer a different meal for that feeding, or do you just skip that meal and wait until the next one? Also, she's still exclusively breastfed.

8m old baby not interested in food

My 8m old baby is still on purées. Started weaning at 6.5 months, had a few days break as he was unwell. There’s been a few things he’s eaten like peach, Avacado and peas but I feel like we’re stuck. Now he’s teething again he’s not interested (I know it’s normal to go off food when teething) but worried it’ll set us back. It’s partly due to me because anxious about going onto lumpy foods and also him not really wanting to eat anything. Sometimes he’ll barely even have a few spoonfuls of most things. Seeing the HV tomorrow for some advice hopefully but all I see online is great eaters at the same age and they eat a lot. Feel like I’m doing him a disservice somehow

Spoons to start solids

Are there any favorite spoon brands to consider as we’re preparing to start solids? Or any features we should look for or avoid when getting gear for solids?

Help why isn’t he eating 😭

My LO (11m) is so up and down with food & is so fussy at home but if I feed him while we’re out and about or if I treat us to a Nando’s he eats so much. It gives me so much anxiety how one day he literally refuses all food and has breast only (considering stopping bf so he eats better???) then others he eats everything offered to him. He’s currently also spitting food out as a game, so testing sigh

Our baby girl is now 5 months old and I wanted to know what are the signs that she should be wanting to start on solid food ( weaning).

Feeding 6 months baby

Hi! My baby is 6 months now and I am trying to give him food in de BLW way and also in pureed way. But none of them he likes and he doesn’t eat, he maybe gets a little in his mouth and he sort of spills it out. Any recommendations?

Meal suggestions!

First time mum & my little one is 7months at the end of this week and I’m stuck for ideas on what meals to prep & introduce!
I’ve done the basics/ purees but if anyone has any homemade meal suggestions I’d appreciate it! BTW or chunkier purees❤️
