Breakfast at nursery

This might be stupid but my 13 month old starts nursery 3 days a week tomorrow and, since she'll be starting at 8am, they'll be giving her breakfast.

But I have to wake my daughter up at half 6 and drop her with my mum at 7 so thats a really long time for her to not eat. Should i get her a smaller breakfast at home to tie her over to nursery breakfast or should i just give her her normal breakfast and then if she doesn't eat the nursery breakfast its not really an issue?

How do other people play this?

Eating too fast

My 18 month old eats so fast, like he'll put more in his mouth before he swallowed the last mouthful. It's getting to the point where he's chocking/gagging every meal.
I have no idea what to do to slow him down, tried giving him little bits at a time but he just gets annoyed and impatient!

Eating out

Does anyone actually manage to eat out with their just turned 2 year old? We went out at lunchtime today for my mums birthday and it was chaos from the minute we got there. In the end we ate, and then left. We took toys with us, colouring etc but she just wants to run around, which I know is normal but it just makes family things so difficult.

2 year old not eating

My 2 year old won’t eat anything except bread and porridge. She used to be great but the last few weeks it’s a battle to get her to eat anything else. Does anyone have any tips for convincing her?

We do eat together nearly every meal and she usually has a plate of whatever we have but she often just ignores it and wants out of her chair. I’ve tried involving her in the cooking, choosing what she wants and sitting on the sofa, or anywhere else but it always ends up in the bin.

Weaning / allergens!

My baby is nearly 7 months and we’ve been doing some weaning both BLW and purées, I’ve been introducing new fruits and veg, however I haven’t done any allergens yet, he’s been unwell and is still not 100% so I don’t want to give it until he’s fully better, but I’m panicking he’s going to be higher risk of developing because I’ve not introduced them right away?!

Meal ideas for 10 month old!!!

My son who is also 7 month old adjusted just got approval from the pediatrician to start soft foods and sippy cup!!! Any ideas on what foods he could start off with? He drinks from sippy cup great so far!☺️ but I can tell my son is interested in eating foods, and his teeth still hasn’t come in yet, any ideas?

How are we getting on with weaning?

My LO is almost 8 months and we’ve been introducing food since she was 6 months. She still won’t let me spoonfed her - sometimes she will let me give her one or two spoonfuls but not consistently every meal.
I serve finger foods alongside a puree and she has gotten better at picking those up and putting in her mouth but still not taking a lot.

Anyone else struggle to get LO to spoon feed? Or is it normal to get only a spoonful or two?

Starting solids

My baby is turning 3 months on November 5th and I REALLYYY want to have her try foods for thanksgiving. Is it to early? I want to l purée some foods and put breast milk in it to thin it down a lot. I was thinking about calling and asking her pediatrician aswell. She already seems to be interested in food, every time I eat she stares at my food and smack her lips together.

How many meals

How many meals are your babies on now? Mine is on 2, but he loves food and is 8.5 months so thinking of increasing to 3

Confused by BLW

We’re doing BLW with my 8 month old . I did more purées with my now toddler and I’m a little confused by some of the finger foods. We had burgers tonight so gave our little one a strip of burger like a meatball to gnaw on but straight away he bit off a chunk which looked like a choking risk. I also gave quarter of a large tomato thinking he would suck on it but he bit half off and swallowed it. I took both off him and mashed it all down into his mashed potato but he got really upset at that so I felt terrible. I guess what I’m confused by is they say to give it as a large piece so they can’t choke but he just bites the small chunks off that they say are a choking hazard so I’m really confused
