My little boy seems to hate anything but peanut butter 🤦‍♀️ literally won't eat anything. I spoke to dietitian and she said to keep offering him the same thing over and over for familiarity until he accepts that thing and then move onto the next thing so that hes not getting a different flavour and texture all the time which he doesnt seem to like. I've started with homemade hummus thinking its a similar consistency to PB but so far still refusing 😬 fun fun fun.. xx

How many months was your little one when you started weaning them on solids?

Mine is 5 months and a week and think he is really ready for it but the internet insists on 6 months!

My child got suspended from school for several days, should I not allow them to go trick or treating?

I’ve called pediatricians office for emergency behavioral health services. Already sees therapist. Already in special ed for ADHD.

First incident- grabbed a kids shirt collar and the school says was “choking” them. The school didn’t have a very strong reaction to this incident which I find weird since it seems to be the most shocking of all of them ?

Second incident- called the kid fat, loser, slow etc after several times of being told to stop.

Third- when already being told can’t go to recess, pushed past teacher and ran outside refusing to come back in.

When the first incident happened, my child refused to talk to me or any adult about what happened and still refuses.

Basically all these incidents my child admits that they did them but refuses to share their side of the story or any details, claims they “don’t remember” and that they feel bad.

Since my child’s suspended for the next several days, they won’t get to participate in any school Halloween activities going on this week. I canceled our Halloween trip to see family. They’re home doing chores right now since I had to call out of work. No tv for the entire duration of suspension.

So far, i am also thinking no trick or treating. Is that too far ?

Need to vent

I’m 4 months PP and I feel like I’m losing the connection with my partner. I just can’t stand the way he thinks - ie he has work so he needs to sleep, it’s the weekend so he needs the lay in, it’s a friends birthday or leaving drinks and asks me if he can attend as if I’m going to tell him no…I’m not surprised but I am disappointed. Any advice?

Settling baby

Does anyone else get really angry watching their husband or partner trying to settle their baby? We are going through witching hour and I’m trying not to take over, but watching him trying to settle the baby is infuriating!

Nursery outings

Am I expecting too much or would this annoy anyone else. When choosing childcare for our little one it was really important to us that the setting not only had some outdoor space but also offered opportunities to go out to places like the park etc. When viewing our current nursery we were told that this is part of what they do. In the summer, the babies were taken out a few times but always on the days mine isn’t in. I did ask whether there would be a chance for mine to go out and was reassured he would. I’ve now seen today (my lo’s day off) they all went on a train to somewhere local for Halloween. I feel so disappointed that something that we specifically looked for isn’t being offered and not only that but we pay a lot in consumables each month and trips out are included in that cost so we are paying for something we are not getting. I understand it all comes down to staffing and appropriate ratios however it doesn’t seem fair that the same group of children are the only ones getting these opportunities as for some reason the staffing levels aren’t the same any other days of the week. They do have a small outside space so mine gets to go outside pretty much every day but thats usually only for an hour ish. It would just be nice to see him get the chance to do something more

Just one good day please

That's all I want. Just one good day where everything (within reason for a 10 month old) is happy.
I'm so exhausted with the constant whining and crying about everything. Every mealtime is a battle that ends in a meltdown and the nappy changes are just awful too. He cries in the car and honestly just every day I count down to bedtime.
I feel like I'm stuck on repeat, like groundhog day. Please tell me it gets better. I love my son so fiercely, but oh my god this is hard.
