Just one good day please

That's all I want. Just one good day where everything (within reason for a 10 month old) is happy.
I'm so exhausted with the constant whining and crying about everything. Every mealtime is a battle that ends in a meltdown and the nappy changes are just awful too. He cries in the car and honestly just every day I count down to bedtime.
I feel like I'm stuck on repeat, like groundhog day. Please tell me it gets better. I love my son so fiercely, but oh my god this is hard.

It's so hard. I find this age really challenging. From just before a year until about 18 months was a real struggle for me with my eldest but it did get gradually better over that time and it does get easier. Now I've got a 9 month old again and am remembering how hard nappy changes and entertaining them used to be with my older one and realising that somewhere along the line it got so much easier. They're so dependent on us for every single thing right now but as soon as they start walking that starts to change.

I could have honestly written this.
Baby wakes up crying most day, crying at nappy change, while I make meals as he'll be in his playpen or highchair, after meals when I wash him screams murder! The list goes on! And I forgot I can't put him down, like never! And every time he cries I even feel like I'm failing at this..or if I'm angry inside then later feel guilty for those feelings.
I used to think I was the only one with the "difficult baby" but then obviously realised it's not just me.
Some days everything feels like a fight and I count the hours. Whenever I can and if I feel it won't cause more stress, I try to get out for a quick walk or trip to the shop or whatever errand cause it makes me feel I've accomplished something else too (house chores?? What's that?) šŸ˜…
Other days I feel so tired cause his night sleep is also an absolute disaster that I stay in and we just nap together in our bed.
Hopefully, as it's been said, once they get walking and become a bit more independent it should get easier.

Maybe I’m tripping šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø

I’m a FTM to a wonderful 2 month old girl! I am trying to get back to making my own money so I don’t have to depend on my fiancĆ© for everything so I’m exploring the world of insurance. I got my license to sell life insurance last year and didn’t do anything with it so I figured I’d try it out.. I got connected with a company that has daily 8am training calls and other meeting throughout the day.
I’m struggling with how to juggle attending the meetings and doing all the things at home.
My fiancĆ© thinks I’m making a big deal out of it and it’s completely doable because he will take care of baby while Im on meetings which is great! However him taking care of baby while I’m in meetings is him holding her while she is sleep or maybe feeding her.
There’s still dishes and bottles and cleaning and cooking that has to be done. And I’m exclusively pumping to breastfeed her. Yes it’s very helpful for him to take care of her during that time it’s just I know nothing else is getting done during that time cuz men don’t multi talk like women do.
I just feel like I never stop moving during the day there is always something to be done.
I tried getting baby to a schedule where she is sleep from 8-9am but that doesn’t always work.
My fiancĆ© can be super helpful at times but when he has her it’s like as soon as she’s sleep or quiet he wants to put her down to go outside to smoke or play his game and 8 times out of 10 baby wakes up or starts fussing while he’s doing that and I have to resume duties. I don’t mind but I literally can’t do that if I’m working. Or constantly leave my meetings to go get him to get her..
maybe I’m rambling at this point or maybe I’m really the issue and just need to do more idk.
Either way thanks for letting me vent 🄰

Should I talk to my In law about it or just get over it? šŸ¤”

Long story short, I added my MIL to a chat for my daughter’s birthday party. She had been feeling disconnected from my daughter so I thought this would be a nice way to keep her involved.

Well, she’s been buying things for the party and telling me after the fact, then I feel like an ass for saying no.

I know she is seeing the chat because she replies to everything but I’m just getting frustrated because she hits me with the ā€œI just thought she would like it, but your in chargeā€ or the ā€œWhatever you want, mother knows bestā€ā€¦ I appreciate the good intentions but I just end up feeling horrible for saying No, because it’s not on theme. This birthday is special to me and it’s the first one my daughter and I are actually planning together.

Should I just get over it or talk to her about it, because I feel like I opened the door by adding her to the chat. šŸ¤”

How many months was your little one when you started weaning them on solids?

Mine is 5 months and a week and think he is really ready for it but the internet insists on 6 months!

My child got suspended from school for several days, should I not allow them to go trick or treating?

I’ve called pediatricians office for emergency behavioral health services. Already sees therapist. Already in special ed for ADHD.

First incident- grabbed a kids shirt collar and the school says was ā€œchokingā€ them. The school didn’t have a very strong reaction to this incident which I find weird since it seems to be the most shocking of all of them ?

Second incident- called the kid fat, loser, slow etc after several times of being told to stop.

Third- when already being told can’t go to recess, pushed past teacher and ran outside refusing to come back in.

When the first incident happened, my child refused to talk to me or any adult about what happened and still refuses.

Basically all these incidents my child admits that they did them but refuses to share their side of the story or any details, claims they ā€œdon’t rememberā€ and that they feel bad.

Since my child’s suspended for the next several days, they won’t get to participate in any school Halloween activities going on this week. I canceled our Halloween trip to see family. They’re home doing chores right now since I had to call out of work. No tv for the entire duration of suspension.

So far, i am also thinking no trick or treating. Is that too far ?
