Maybe I’m tripping 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’m a FTM to a wonderful 2 month old girl! I am trying to get back to making my own money so I don’t have to depend on my fiancé for everything so I’m exploring the world of insurance. I got my license to sell life insurance last year and didn’t do anything with it so I figured I’d try it out.. I got connected with a company that has daily 8am training calls and other meeting throughout the day.
I’m struggling with how to juggle attending the meetings and doing all the things at home.
My fiancé thinks I’m making a big deal out of it and it’s completely doable because he will take care of baby while Im on meetings which is great! However him taking care of baby while I’m in meetings is him holding her while she is sleep or maybe feeding her.
There’s still dishes and bottles and cleaning and cooking that has to be done. And I’m exclusively pumping to breastfeed her. Yes it’s very helpful for him to take care of her during that time it’s just I know nothing else is getting done during that time cuz men don’t multi talk like women do.
I just feel like I never stop moving during the day there is always something to be done.
I tried getting baby to a schedule where she is sleep from 8-9am but that doesn’t always work.
My fiancé can be super helpful at times but when he has her it’s like as soon as she’s sleep or quiet he wants to put her down to go outside to smoke or play his game and 8 times out of 10 baby wakes up or starts fussing while he’s doing that and I have to resume duties. I don’t mind but I literally can’t do that if I’m working. Or constantly leave my meetings to go get him to get her..
maybe I’m rambling at this point or maybe I’m really the issue and just need to do more idk.
Either way thanks for letting me vent 🥰

Always welcome to vent and ramble!
Sounds like he should use his initiative more and put baby in a carrier and get some bits done around the house, or if he needs to game sobeit but with the baby in the carrier means she will be more likely to stay asleep!

You are not tripping, he can definitely do more. Coming from a stay at home mom who is also exclusively breastfeeding and has a 3 month old.

U could work one or two hours a day for some extra cash ? I do this now training AI for a tech company, don’t need any experience x

As a working mom outside of the house/where I can’t clean while I’m at work, but my husband works from home, I don’t expect him to clean because he’s home. We just fit it into other times of the day. Work is work, baby care is baby care, then house chores are house chores. We don’t try and do it all at once. Could you guys just divide and conquer once you’re done work? More hands make less work.

Should I talk to my In law about it or just get over it? 🤔

Long story short, I added my MIL to a chat for my daughter’s birthday party. She had been feeling disconnected from my daughter so I thought this would be a nice way to keep her involved.

Well, she’s been buying things for the party and telling me after the fact, then I feel like an ass for saying no.

I know she is seeing the chat because she replies to everything but I’m just getting frustrated because she hits me with the “I just thought she would like it, but your in charge” or the “Whatever you want, mother knows best”… I appreciate the good intentions but I just end up feeling horrible for saying No, because it’s not on theme. This birthday is special to me and it’s the first one my daughter and I are actually planning together.

Should I just get over it or talk to her about it, because I feel like I opened the door by adding her to the chat. 🤔

Having time to yourself!!

Hi everyone, I rarely get any time to myself or a "day off" as such and on the days that I do, I still have to get up with the kids, do breakfast time ect whilst my husband has a lay in.
I get extremely frustrated because if you are working and you have a day off, you dont have to pop into work for a few hours do you? Like I still have to do the cooking and the washing ect. But for an actual job, you dont have to clock in to do the work that the other colleagues are incapable of doing so why should I?

Am I wrong for getting angry about it? I feel so bad on my babies for being frustrated about it but I cant help it.

As a stay at home mum, living away from the place I grew up, I literally do this solo for the best part of every single day. I have no friends or family surrounding me to help and my 1yo and 2yo are WILD.

Just wondering if anyone else is in a similar situation and how to go about resolving this.

MIL

My MIL calls my baby her baby and i absolutely hate it, I wouldn’t mind if she said my grandbaby as that’s true! She does also show signs of using her son(my partner) for a lot of emotional support and when she says my baby it sounds like her and his baby 🤢 am I overthinking it?

I feel so terrible guilty rant

I really hate being a mom like 90% of the time. I feel like im the mom i never wanted to be as in im angry and impatient and upset a lot. Im so tired only getting 4-6 hrs of broken sleep for the last 7 months. My son has trouble with drinking his milk and still doesnt want solids, doesnt want to be confined or put down but also wants to be very active. Im bruised scratched up, sore and in pain. Its been miserable 7 months and it just seems to be getting worse honestly and i thought it would get better. I used to be so compassionate understanding and fun and i dont even know who i am. Last night my son was up for 2 hours then 2 hours later another 2 hours i was crying and yelling please go to sleep. I just dont know how im going to keep doing this. Theres nothing to do i just got to keep going but its hard when theres no end in sight.
