I work 9 to 5 and I am only able to give my daughter solids when I get home around 5:30pm. I still don’t feel too comfortable with her Nanny giving her food at this time just because we did have a scare of choking. Am I the only one only doing once a day feedings???

Have Nana give puree if you're worried about choking but LO is gonna need more than one non milk meal a day or it will make it harder once a year old hits and they switch to 3 meals a day. At this stage yes food is supposed to be fun but also preparing them to be on solids at a year. Even puree counts as a meal. They have normal meals at dinner time with you. I started giving my LO kiks cereal in the mornings for breakfast that way its 2 meals and puree in between as lunch.

I give my 8 month old usually one feed a day at 530 as well! I was just kind of wondering this myself. But like I am terrified of him choking. I try to give him other things other than pures but it’s tough. His pediatrician said 9 months is when you should switch to three times a day

My boys eat 2iah meals a day. I feel like 3 is way too much for them. They were born over a month early so that could contribute, but we try to do a light breakfast around 9am then a family dinner around 6. Sometimes breakfast is just applesauce or oatmeal and fruits. Has anyone figured out how much milk we should be giving them? They breastfeed typically 5-7 times a day lately

Until very recently, I was doing one puree and one regular meal. That still counts as 2 meals. Maybe you can have nanny give the puree?

There are no rules do what you think is best for YOUR baby!

I normally do breakfast , a snack, or my fiancé gives dairy free yogurt or a puree when I have to work. He isn't comfortable giving him solids. And on my off days, breakfast and dinner as solids. He likes to feed himself so we have to make time to do that but we both work full time and are only off together every other Sunday so it's hard. I try to prep his food for the week on my off days.
Today I've only done breakfast with pancakes and eggs. I have to work tonight so I'm trying to sleep but I'll give him some yogurt later or let my fiancé do it when he gets off work.

We’re on 3 meals -
For breakfast he has something on rice cakes/toast, so pretty small
Then I usually give him something I can spoon for lunch (mainly to save up on washing up and washing him!) - again pretty small
But then I give him a big proper meal at tea time
Does he get a sandwich plus 3 other items? Does he take care of himself? My husband's been so weird (back and forth) about this issue and I can't figure out if it's my problem or his.

Hi everyone,
I want to put this out there to see what other mums think and whether or not I’m being mean to have these thoughts. Last night me and my partner were talking about our finances/debts and the debt we took out whilst I was on MAT leave. The conversation ended with us re jigging how we pay things and now we’re not splitting our money (which was his idea to begin with) and he said he will start to attack our debts and that means he’s chucking more of his money into our joint debts and how that’s what he’s doing for us. Am I wrong for not feeling super grateful as the reason we’re in this debt and the reason we originally put our money together is because we agreed to have a child. It feels like he’s saying oh I’m so great to our relationship because I’m paying off more of our debts - when in reality he earns over 20k more than me a year & we took out these debts on the basis of our incomes being put together?? I don’t know I just need some other opinions on this please haha

It’s not all men but it does happen!
Hi, I’m Kate. I went through a separation almost 6 months ago after being a stay at home mom for 5 years. I have a degree in biology. I tried to get a job for two years but my ex told me no. Now that we split up, I looked for jobs for months with no one responding to my emails or applications. When employers find out I haven’t worked in 5 years, they don’t call back. The jobs who will hire me, do not pay enough to cover even half of my bills or childcare. So I’m coming on here to just remind you ladies that yes, many husbands are amazing and supportive and will take the weight. And if something happens, you will still be protected. But not all husbands or partners will do that. I’m guessing most will not. So please, if you have a partner who has never been a good provider, if your relationship is rocky. Get a job. Get a remote job. Get a side gig JUST IN CASE. I’m now relying on my little hobby-turned business to make enough money to pay bills and it is a slow slow process. Everyday is stressful. Every bill is late. I should have found remote work years ago as a backup when I knew in my heart that someday I would leave. Take care of yourselves ladies. You’re already taking the load of childcare and everything else so I know it’s a lot, but if you have any doubt at all about your relationship, make sure you have a plan! Don’t be like me

How are we coping with 2 under 2?!
I'm finding the logistics of the 2 almost impossible.
My toddler wants constant attention and constant snacks. My baby has reflux, wants to breastfed all the time, hates being put down and hates the carrier. I spend most of my day feeding and holding her upright which means things like playing with my toddler, preparing snacks, changing toddlers nappy are so hard to do. I don't know what I can do to make it slightly easier?! Its 11am and I'm still in my pjs and haven't eaten 😭
