Can you take baby water in a thermos to the airport?

I have no idea how I’m going to feed my baby while traveling.

Or can I put the baby water in the bottle (like 2-3 bottles cuz it’s gonna be a long flight) and go through tsa?

Yes, bottles are allowed for babies and are exempt from the liquid limit. They will take it and screen it for safety, then give it back.

Could I ask them not to do anything that may expose it to radiation?

I think they dip a swab in the water to test for whatever they test for - more specifics on that you'll have to ask the tsa agents. But I know you're definitely allowed to bring it.

You can also premix the bottles with water and formula and have an ice cooler.Thats what I did. In Europe they prefer the milk vs the powder.

I brought milk bottles and one bottle filled with water and had no problem. Not sure about water in a thermo.

@Dana Caro That is incorrect https://www.tsa.gov/travel/tsa-cares/traveling-children

Yes we’ve put water in the actual bottles. We did the first time with our son and I wished we had just brought water bottles with us and opened them there. Like plastic water bottles. With our daughter we did in bottles because I didn’t want to risk them throwing them away but they spilled so when we came back I just had plastic water bottles and that worked great. Because we could drink them if needed but she also had water that we could use.

When we had them in baby bottles then they opened the lid and just like hovered a thing to check it. They now have like new things in some airports where you don’t have to take it out at all but also if it’s unopened water bottles they just put it in a thing and spin it and check it and should be good. But no matter what it’s gonna have to go through the x ray machine ish when like putting it on the table. It’ll be perfectly fine

Yes you can! Even baby food you are allowed:)

All of this is correct, but if you’d feel more comfortable, you could always take an empty thermos and once you get through TSA you can go to a restaurant and ask them to fill up your thermos with hot water. I would do half hot and half cold to make it warm

We just had unopened bottles and they had to screen it but they let you keep it. If you’re going through customs and have formula make sure it’s unopened… mine was and I still was almost made to throw my baby’s specialized formula away when we landed in Canada. I think you can if it’s sealed thought I’m not sure if the border officer was just trying to give me a hard time. (He probably was, long story lol)
