How to sterilise the nuby rapid cool? Can I just put the flask and lid in boiling water for 5 minutes? I feel like this would be the easiest for me. And how often do I need to sterilise it?

I put mine in Milton :)

Another Milton user 👍🏻

Milton or UV x

Milton cold water steriliser 👌🏻 15 mins and done.

We had the nuby uv steriliser.

The Tommee Tippee version which is basically the same says to wash it out and then fill with boiling water and turn upside down for 2 minutes. I've been doing that and had no problems

Mine is the same as Saran and I do it the same too with boiling water as my steriser is a microwave one

Hi ladies jumping on this thread- how do you manage when out and about with cleaning and the fact that it needs 3 hours before use again?

We bought a 2 pack in the Nuby sale on their website, then a few weeks later my partner bought another in Aldi. I just rinse in out and then use a different one. Sterilise them when we’re home. I’ve not needed more than 2 though on an outing as we always go out after a feed.

@Krishma I have now moved onto doing the hot shot method which is the same as how the prep machine makes as it means you never need to wash the rapid cooler

What is the hot shot method??

@Deniz you basically do a shot of boiling hot water to kill off the bacteria in the formula and then use the rapid cooler or the tommee tippee cooler to cool the rest of the water to the right temperature. That way the rapid cooler is only used for water and doesn't need cleaning between uses. There's loads of videos on tiktok showing it

Oh thats clever! Thank you

I’ve still been sterilising eventhough I use this method, somehow I though it would still need doing, great to know I’ve wasted my time😂

no problem!

@Millie oh no 🤣 I wash it after a day's use to be fair but since you're pouring boiling water in and just cooling it down it should stay sterile x

Sorry to jump on the post but i have a question about the nuby rapid cool. Ive been using one for my son for the past 2 months and ive noticed that, no matter how well i clean or sterilise it, it constantly stinks of milk and it seems like a thick spit like liquid comes out of the lid even when not being used! What is happening, does anyone know? Because its making me not want to use it
