Could be a viral infection. I'd advise wiping his eyes with a clean, warm cloth and seeing your gp tomorrow if it persists. The thing with daycare is that there's a new virus every other week.

This could possibly be pink eye forming, or some type of allergic reaction or infection. I work in a school with prek and kindergarten students and there is always something with kids ive seen hope he feels well soon 🙏🏽 you can also ask the daycare about their sanitation and disinfection protocol if this becomes re-occurring

It looks like pink eye.

My first thought was pink eye but I’m praying that isn’t it 😩 overall he’s been his normal bubbly self. I actually have a tour scheduled to view another daycare on Thursday because the one he’s currently at no longer meets my standards. Thanks for your input

Don’t worry mama, if it’s pink eye is very easy to treat with simply some antibiotic drops. Just wash your hands often until you know for sure because it’s very contagious 🙏

He’s probably getting a cold and it’s coming out of his eyes. Like a cold in the eye. I don’t think it’s pink eye because his eyes are not red, however, if his eyes are glued shut in the morning or pink/red then assume it’s that and get antibiotics.

I don’t think he needs to see a doctor at this point. I would watch for other symptoms to arise including ear infections, snotty nose, cough, fever. If nothing else pops up he can still go to daycare. And as long as he stays happy and not in distress then I wouldn’t bother with a pediatrician. It will probably turn a greenish color. Don’t be alarmed.

And if he just started daycare I would get used to him being sick and stuff. It’s HORRIBLE for the first year with little ones.

I honestly think it’s so odd everyone jumped to pink eye when his eyes are not pink lol. That’s the tell tale sign of conjunctivitis. If they’re not pink, it is not pink eye but just a cold.

My 2nd thought was an allergic reaction or infection since there’s no redness in his eyes, but his dad immediately mentioned pink eye so I got scared. I’m praying his eyes aren’t glued in the morning. He does have some congestion but that started a few days ago so I didn’t think it was related. At this point time will tell. Thanks for your input

No I get it goopy eyes makes us think pink eye for sure. I’ve just dealt with it a few times actually in the last couple of years with the kids so I’m pro level with that yucky stuff now 😂 it does goes away super easy and quickly once you get the antibiotics tho so now worries!

If there’s congestion as well I would think it’s definitely related. Just always be on the lookout for signs of an ear infection because those should definitely be treated and checked out. I never knew that an ear infection can go hand in hand with a viral cold and that refusing food can be a big symptom of ear infections. My son had double ear infections once and was having pain when he chewed but I assumed he didn’t want to eat much because he was stuffy. He didn’t pull on his ears or anything like that!

I don’t wanna be a pro at this stuff lol but boys are so much harder to keep clean. He literally puts EVERYTHING in his mouth 😩

Ear infections are the worst & a double ear infection..wow. Luckily his appetite is fine. I have so much to do tomorrow & of course I don’t want him sick..I’m just really hoping he wakes up & is magically better. We’ll see!

Could also be a clogged tear duct.

Most definit ans infection maybe sinus the sinus can be inflamed or have bacteria in it and it can seep into the eye ducts or eye infection get him seen from gp or urgent care. Good luck
