I was just registered to give birth at Rockyview Hospital. Those who had a baby there, how was it? Anything I should know or be prepared for?

I don’t mean to be a Debbie downer but I had the worst experience there .. when I was in active labour the nurse had told me to get off my phone and to go home because people who actually needed a bed need to be here (I was 6cm dilated and my water broke) I was also there 5 days after I gave birth and I kept asking for a shower and never received one … they also put in the epidural needle the wrong way and had to do it again so ya … 😅 hopefully your experience is better then mine I will never be giving birth there again

I had a midwife team that only deliver at Rockyview or home. Because I wanted a hospital birth, I had my baby at Rockyview. I had a wonderful experience!
Although it is an older hospital and I had to share a room (semi-private) for postpartum. The nurses, on site midwife and obgyn were all amazing and so kind. The anesthesiologist was great with my epidural. Felt all the things I wanted to and all the things I didn’t lol. I was offered to use the showers but since I was going to be sent home the next morning, I opted not to.
My only complaint is that it’s just old and the furniture is old too (bulky, plastic-y chairs that sort of recline; no beds/ cots for him. And really tiny rooms) which made it hard for my husband to be comfortable.
