Lap surgery no symptoms

Yes! I didn’t have really symptoms that the doctor ever thought I had endo! but after I had one failed ivf transfer my ivf doctor said I may have endo! She didn’t want me to do the surgery and a friend of mine told me about receptivadx which is a test they can do in office and they were able to see I had endo without surgery! I went thru the meds cycle and was able to remain pregnant thru ivf :) it is test geared towards ttc so def look into it!

hello thank you for your response I was told by two different doctors that the receptiva dx test was not guaranteed and could give false results so I decided not to go ahead with it!
I am considering the medicated cycle for my transfer for endo, did you just have lupron or letrozole as well? How long did you have to down reg for before doing a transfer I’ve read it can be 1-3 months of lupron x

Yeah so my doctor didn’t want me to do it either and I pushed for it cause I was like ok it may be false positive but at least it would be less invasive than a whole laparoscopy surgery! Then they gave the excuse that it was super expensive…it is expensive but considering I was paying ivf out of pocket it was silly of them to even mention it cause it was like $300 or $500. So the only one that actually helped was the nurse that actually said let’s take two samples and that helped me a lot!!! Cause both samples ended up being like a 4 which was the maximum. Also, I actually had to call receptivadx to get them to explain the results cause my doc office couldn’t explain me the results lol (they don’t have many people getting it)!

(Sorry long message) so yeah the test proved me at least that I have endo and I did the 3 months of depot lupron before my ivf transfer and it worked for me :)

I'm having surgery in a couple weeks. I wouldn't say I have zero symptoms. But mine are mild/not typical endo symptoms. I don't have particularly painful periods. But have had a few instances of severe acute (short term) pain. I also have some bladder symptoms. But I don't have heavy periods or anything. They know I have endo because they can see the endometrioma on my ovary in an ultrasound.

I haven't been able to get pregnant yet. I did 5 medicated IUIs with Letrozole before giving up on that and deciding to investigate the endo further. I think the letrozole was making my pain episodes worse too so I stopped that as well.

My surgery went well! Recovery was quicker/easier than expected. My surgery was on a Monday, and I started working half days remotely next Monday and was back full time the following Thursday (so week and a half later). They removed my endometrioma and a few other spots of endo in other places. But none of my spots were bad/deep or anything, and none of my organs were stuck to each other. The worst pain I dealt with was just the gas pain from trapped gas after surgery. So highly recommend taking some gas-x. And also try to keep moving around. I thought I was past it, but then I did a gentle yoga, and my gas pain came back, so it must have just been stuck somewhere till I did the stretching.
