Telling work

I was 6 weeks, told them because I was having bad morning sickness and fatigue x

I have an early scan today and then I will plan to tell work after that. I want to make sure everything is ok with baby before I let them know. I will be 8 weeks when I tell them.

I had an early scan for 8w4days and informed my manager the next day because of my work duties and a risk assessment has to be done for me. So it depends on your kind of job, if it might put a strain on you, then tell them so the risk assess you and understand why you always have to pee 😂.

I’m holding out until mid October when they will be finalising pay awards as I don’t want my pay rise to be influenced by my pregnancy. I work from home on a laptop so it’s been easy for me to hide it

Work in the emergency department. This is my first pregnancy. I’ve been lucky to not have bad morning sickness. I wear scrubs so can easily hide my bump. I told my manager yesterday at 14 /40 weeks. Didn’t want to say anything in the first trimester.

I work in care which means pushing heavy wheelchairs. So I told work as soon as I found out as they needed to do risk assessment

Yes think I would wait till I'm about 4 months to tell work or maybe longer as I'm a teacher so don't want them not to give me hours for next year

Good question. My manager knows. But I am just curious as I’m a social worker and I do not know how it works either x

I’m not working currently (3rd baby)
But with my two previous babies I was a carer so had to tell them as soon as I found out due to the manual handling side of it

I've told my line manager as I was supposed to be travelling to DC just after my due date but it's confidential. Won't tell work until 12 week scan unless I need to

If your baby is due in April we have to tell them in January.. I was thinking to wait till December/January
