Second time mom here and I don’t remember at all what I packed last time or what I ended up needing. I’m going in blind all over again.

3 footed onesies size NB and 3 short sleeve onesies (to put on baby underneath the footies). 3 pairs of cozy socks. One swaddle(i like the muslin oversized pieces). One cute outfit of choice for pictures. One recieving blanket. I packed a couple pacifiers that have different shaped nipples because they offer one type at the hospital and you never know which one baby will like. One sleep sack(not sure ill need this but jic).
One preemie sized footed pajama JIC baby is swimming in NB size, my first was born full term but was itty bitty.
For me a robe, two or three comfy pajamas, undies, my pillow, towel, frida peri bottle, toothbrush, and anything you cant sleep without(my teddy bear that i hug).
For breastfeeding my breastfeeding pillow, one collection cup, disposable nipple pads(prolly wont need those cause milk comes in only a little in the beginning), one nursing bra.
Snacks, fav water bottle, charger, my instax polaroid camera, hair ties, personal fan.

For breastfeeding: My hospital provided a lot of nursing items as I needed them (like therashells, colostrum dropper thing, a saline solution, stuff like that). What I did pack this time is nipple balm, nipple pads, Silverettes, and a nursing cover. I didn’t pack a nursing pillow because it bulky and stacking the hospital pillows worked just fine last time.
Self care: Toiletries, shower shoes, lip balm (hospital air is really dry)
Clothes: Socks x3, nursing bras x3, button up shirts for nursing x3, pajamas x2, cardigan, stretchy pants x2
Misc: Long cell charger, tripod (for family photo), gum, snacks
For baby: vitamin d drops (only need this if you’re nursing), hat, outfit x3, electric nail file, burp clothes, receiving blanket and blanket embroidered with baby’s name

I ended up with a c section with my first and the shower shoes I packed were like rubber slides which ended up being really useful because my feet were so swollen I wouldn’t have been able to wear my regular shoes

Also for clothes, big comfy underwear! Your belly will probably still be pretty round plus you’ll be wearing giant pads
