My daughter was born on May 29th and her feeding amount differs each day. I’m worried she’s not eating as much as she should or even consistently. She’s allergic to dairy so we switched to Neocate formula and also has acid reflex (on meds for it) so not sure if this plays into it. How many ounces do your little ones consume per day?

Is it only formula or breast milk as well

Hey girl! Only formula

I think It’s different for everyone. Mine is also 3 months sometimes he eats 5 ounces sometimes 6 ounces. I have a family member her son used to eat 8 ounces at 3 months.
How many times a day does she eat ? And is she gaining weight ?

Hi Laryssa! She eats 6 times a day but the amounts all differ. Sometimes it’s 6 ounces, most of the time it’s 4-5 ounces, and other times only 3 and I can’t get her to drink anymore. There’s no pattern or consistency.. worries me!

it happens to mine too.
Don’t worry like Courtne said as long as she’s hydrated and that she’s gaining weight that is what’s important. Mine takes his last bottle around 11 / 12 and sleeps for 8/ 9 hours sometimes 10 I let him sleep.

My baby was born May 28th.
Currently has between 5-6 oz .
We do cluster feedings at night, and she sleep all night 10 hours straight . She’s formula fed on Hipp.

I think a good basis is 2-2.5oz per pound of weight. So a 10lb baby should get 20-25oz over 24 hours.

My son eats about 3-4oz per feeding. I track his feedings so he averages 25oz per 24hrs. (He’ll be 4 months on Thursday)
There’s babies his age that are eating more. But I’m not concerned because he’s a chunky boy and has enough wet diapers per day as well

thank you so so much that was so helpful and made me feel so much more at ease! 🙏🏼🩷🩷🩷 I appreciate all you mama’s also!!! ❣️
