I don’t know how many newborn vests to buy to go under sleep suits? Do they need to be long sleeves or short in November as it’s going underneath.

Either or to be honest. I bought around 7 - 10 newborn vests and sleepsuits etc but had loads of clothes already from my first. Best to get plenty to account for any poonami's babies can go through loads of outfit changes.

They could go up to 3-4 outfits per day on a bad day! So it depends how much washing you want to do. We've got about 30, mostly short sleeved as that's all they need indoors, and long sleeved if we'll be outside for any length of time

So vest then sleep suit, even if inside in November? I feel so clueless about this stuff!!

Yes I think so xx

yes they'll generally have at least 2 layers on all the time. The general rule is 1 more layer than you, but of course each baby is different. There's lots of infographics and articles online with temperature charts and what they "should" wear that are quite helpful!

yes

Depending on size of baby
My son outgrew anything newborn size in 2 weeks so I don't have much newborn stuff this time around

Only got him short sleeve ones we will mostly be indoors got about 7-10. They just grow so quick anyway xx

I think it’s the term “sleep suit” that throws me 😂 because this is for during the day as well right?

yeah day and night use some call them baby grows or onesies, all the same.

yep most people leave them in a sleepsuit/babygrows/onesie all day in the early days as getting them into outfits is hard and they need a few changes a day!

We have a couple of packs of vests so about 10 each of 0-1and 0-3 months. We have about the same for baby grows and then a few actual outfits for 0-3. I'm assuming when she is born people will get stuff for her and if not we can just get extras as and when we need them.
