I’m looking for a bit of advice, my baby is quite active at night normally then a little in the morning. But the movements were less this last night but ok this morning now I feel like I’m super paranoid on if she’s moving as much as normal, if she’s kicking as hard or for as long and I feel like I’m overthinking it. The hospital said to monitor but they’d be happy to see me if I felt it necessary or if movement drops down. What would you do?

If you are worried go in. They are always really nice about, and would rather you go in and feel reassured. That said my little boy is much the same, some days lots of movements, other days not much at all. I’m 28 weeks x

Personally I would go in and get baby checked. There’s no harm in making sure everything is ok and putting your mind at rest 😊

It’s so easy for it to get into your head and for you to over think. Personally I have had days where he is very strong and active and days where he isn’t and quiet. On the quiet days I have been so anxious. I was told every baby is so different and just like adults we have down days and active days. I was also told all movement is good movement. That said you cannot put a price on peace of mind so call up and ask to be checked if you are worried.

Ps 28 weeks today

I am constantly having all these thoughts too 😢 I think it's normal to overthink. I've been feeling lots of little movements but no big kicks and the pattern seems to be different too. I'm waiting until I see the midwife on Wednesday but I think if you are really worried then I'd go in 😘 let us know how you get on xx

I had limited movement on Thursday evening and it didn’t fit the normal pattern so ended up ringing the assessment team. I then went into hospital from about 11pm-2:30am due to how busy it was, getting hooked up on a monitor etc.
I would definitely go in if you don’t feel happy about it as that’s what they recommend however looking back now I had a bath that evening and I think the baby got super comfy and it changed the pattern.
Make sure you try different positions or drink a fizzy drink to spur on some movement then go in if you still aren’t happy.

I always think if you are worried just go in, but try a few of the different movement inducing things first. I’m at 26 weeks now and since 21 weeks the baby has instantly woken up and moved if I play a song on my bump with a low male voice and a lot of bass! I had two days of no movement and was panicking, and this worked well to reassure me. Also eating sweets then sitting down for half an hour. Hope all goes well.

If you're worried, go in. They'll never turn you away. I'm 27 weeks on Wednesday and they did say to me when I went in for reduced movements that it is still early to get any sort of pattern but if you've got one and it's reduced then come straight in!

thank you I didn’t go In because shortly after this I ate a bunch of sugary stuff and she woke up then I felt her all through the day then last night and this morning seems to be normal pattern again ❤️

Thanks for everyone’s advice xx
