HOT flashes 8 months postpartum??

I have been having the worst hot flashes for the past few weeks and my baby just turned 8 months. I've read that hot flashes are normal right after giving birth, but is it normal to experience it 8 months later? My period returned months ago but the hot flashes just started recently so I'm not sure if it's hormones or what, but they are extremely unpleasant and make it difficult to sleep. I'm also mid-30's so not sure if it could be a sign of perimenopause? At what point should I go see a doctor about it? Any insight or advice is greatly appreciated!

I don’t know if it’s normal either but I am 8 months PP as well and I have hot flashes all the time and I’m constantly drenched in sweat ! Ugh so frustrating! So just letting you know you aren’t the only one !! And following to see what everyone else says

Our bodies and hormones aren't fully back to normal until about 2 years postpartum. I'm dealing with the same thing but I connected it to hormones still changing and I work a job that has me on my feet so I'm sure that has something to do with it also

I would suggest getting your thyroid tested! Thyroid issues are fairly common postpartum and can cause hot flashes. Your primary care physician can order the tests. It's simple bloodwork. I've been dealing with hyperthyroidism postpartum and it's awful.
