I started taking pregnacare on Tuesday evening, after having just been taking Tesco own pregnancy support vitamins, and I’ve had a really weird sensation/ache in my stomach the past two days, I feel sorta bloated as if something just needs to pop inside me (weird way to describe it I know😂)
I realised today that you should take pregnacare after a meal, in which I hadn’t been, I’d been taking it in the morning, is it likely that it is that that’s been causing my stomach ache as I’ve been taking it on an empty stomach?

I know so many people that had bad side effects from pregnacare, a lot of stomach aches and nausea.
I didn’t really take any tablets but if I did it was boots own and had no issues. I’d probably just switch back to the Tesco’s own if I were you x

I stopped taking pregnacare as it was making my HG worse! Just took sainsburys own pregnancy ones xxx

I had to stop taking pregnacare pretty early in my pregnancy, around 16 weeks as it made my heartburn and acid reflux uncontrollable and so painful, which then lead to me always feeling sick. There are other brands you can try instead, I know lots of mums who stopped taking pregnacare. I personally just focused on keeping a well rounded diet and stopped pregnancy vitamins completely and so far at 35 weeks all my bloods and levels have been perfect

A lot of people don't tolerate pregnacare very well. Explore others! Iv settled well on several seas

Pregnacare makes me dog sick!!!! I noticed when I stopped taking it too I didn’t get constipated and regular upset tummies too!

Pregnacare made me really sick

I was so bad on Pregnacare. Constantly sick, heart burn and reflux. I ended up taking Asdas own version after my sister recommended it, was so much better afterwards. Xx

Pregnacare has so many awful side effects and even caused liver issues for my sister so please please please stop taking it. Just vitamin D and folic acid is all you really need, plus a varied diet and plenty of hydration - that’s what baby really needs ❤️

What is it about pregnacare specifically that can cause these problems? I still take it (breastfeeding version as I'm dairy and egg free), don't have any of these issues but am wondering if I should be looking for an alternative based on comments?

I honestly couldn’t swallow pregnant without heaving, they’re so big 🤦♀️😅 I had to switch to boots own brand. After reading these comments, I’m glad I did!
