In the process of a diagnosis

Hi everyone Since giving birth to my baby girl 4 months ago, I started to develop awful finger pain, wrist pain and knee pain. I chalked this up to being a new mum and thought it’s a result of the tiredness and my body not having time to recover but realistically, this isn’t tired mum pain… I now struggle to open baby girls flask and bottle, especially at night, my fingers she’s feel tender at the joints and when I wake in the morning, both pinkies lock and don’t smoothly move, my knee locks and HD’s intense pain when I try to get off the play mat with my girl and even bending to sit on the toilet makes me wince… My health visitor suggested I see a dr after she saw me struggle to get off the play mat because of my knee… Fast forward a week and my dr seems to think it’s RA, triggered by pregnancy because of the symptoms… this terrifies me, honestly. I’m finding if anyone had a similar onset? In full hoping I’m just an achey 31yo mama!

Hi, my baby is 8 weeks old and I’m having the same issues. Mine is also with my hands but ankles rather than knees, I’m having blood tests at the end of the month.

@Tina hi lovely x My blood tests came back and they now say spect lupus x

Hi, I’ve not really heard of that before. How are you feeling about that? X

@Tina it’s all very unexpected, to be honest. Initially I thought it was just because of crazy hormones 😂 but it’s persisted and got a lot worse. I’ve had a referral, just need to wait for the letter to come through. How’re you feeling?

Yes after giving birth about 2 weeks my hand we’re getting stiff and feet would hurt so much got blood work and they said I had RA they said it was most likely my hormones that triggered it
