So I’m watching a ton of horror movies lately and my 4 month old sometimes just watches for a minute. I do play with him while I’m watching it he’s not just sitting and watching the entire movie. But my husband and I were joking on what if it effects him growing up and now I’m wondering if that is a possibility

I used to watch a lot of horror movies and I can tell you that they are not good for your mental health.
Whilst the feeling of being afraid might feel good in the moment. A lot of people (including myself at the time) failed to see the spiritual effects of horror movies.
There are demonic spirits behind these movies & they can attach to people & bring turmoil into the homes of people watching them.
This can look like increased fighting between couples, anger issues, depression, anxiety, feeling like someone is watching you in your own home.
I’m very careful of what I watch now especially on the TV since my child might see it too.
You want to be careful exposing your children to stuff like that because demonic spirits don’t play fair.

My husband and I are big horro fans as well, and our baby boy has been around while we watch horror films. I seriously doubt that it has any really effects on them and this young age.

At such a young age it’s just colours to them. The only thing is sudden noises might make them jump but it happening occasionally isn’t going to create long term effects, things in every day life will make them jump. Just keep an eye out for signs of distress but I highly doubt it’ll cause any

4 day old, probably fine. 4 months old, I’d actually start being careful - they can understand more than you think. I was throwing my 2 year old up and down (she loves it), my baby started screaming as she thought it was hurting her sister, she was around 4 months at the time. So your 4 month old might be absorbing some of what he’s seeing

It's very unlikely it'll have any effect. Not only will your child be unable to comprehend the idea of a horror movie, they're probably just not that interested.
The only thing that might be worrying for them is loud unfamiliar sounds so maybe just keep an eye on the volume.
I watched so many horror films with my little boy as he was growing and would describe them if i saw he was looking that way "can you see the kitty? Kitty says meow" (actually watching pet semetary lol)... he's now 18 months and just the happiest guy ever!
I wouldn't worry too much about it this young x
