Is it safe to use a hot water bottle? I’m 23 weeks and recently getting bad back pain. I’m not sure if it’s from the pregnancy pillow or just the weight of baby getting bigger but just need some advice on what helps.

Is a hot water bottle safe to use on your back during pregnancy as it’s very hot and I don’t know if it had to be a certain temp like when they tell you not to have hot baths?

use a sock and fill it with rice!! microwave for 1-2 minutes and rest it on you’re back, the longer the sock the better!!

Im 39 weeks and ive been using my hot water bottle all throughout pregnancy, especially in these last days the warm bottle seems to be the only thing to help with really bad back pains
If you are concerned you can just use slightly cooler water (ie not boiling) or add an extra layer of clothes/ cloth as an extra precaution

I use a hot water bottle but the advice I’ve read is that if you’d be happy to give it to a child then it’s a safe temperature - so not too hot and make sure it’s got a cover x
