Gallbladder sludge and stones in third trimester

Has anyone undergone the same during pregnancy? I have been having upper abdominal pain which stays for hours and at times gets acute. Earlier I thought its because of gastric attacks due to hormonal changes during pregnancy but however recently had a severe pain attack and had to visit the ER where they found out its due to Biliary colic which happens if your gallbladder has developed sludge and stones during pregnancy. I am two weeks far from a planned C-Section and wondering if anyone else had a similar problem. Did it go away after delivery or it stays and ultimately surgery is the only solution. Have been controlling diet and mindful of what I am eating to ease the gallbladder inflammation but I am stressed with this.

Hey! I discovered I had gallstones about 4 months postpartum. I had lots of issues with it and trips to the hospital and eventually had my gallbladder removed in February. I was also told that the gallstones had formed during pregnancy due to the hormonal changes x

Hope u r doing good now. Has it impacted you in any way after the removal? Like I am really concerned about the consequences and the lifelong restrictions that might come with it.

I have been told that it might get resolved on its own after delivery as in 60% of the cases the sludge and stones go away. But with the acute pain attacks that I have experienced, I doubt about that.

My attacks started in my third trimester, which I thought was indigestion ( I was eating super bad) but then about 6 weeks postpartum I had another attack that sent me to the er which is where I found out it was gallstones. I’ve been very mindful of what I’m eating now and waiting to see what happens. After a C-section, I’m not ready for another surgery 😭
