Solid foods fail

Hi mamas! I really need your help I don’t know what to do. My son is 18 months and won’t eat any solid food other than fries and frozen cucumbers on occasion. I started BLW at 6 months and he was doing great, nights was milk breakfast was solids lunch was milk and solids and dinner was soup. After 2 months he completely stopped solids all together. Now its a battle for soup (which is highly nutritious but not enough in my opinion) the first spoon is ww3 and after he finishes the bowl completely. His weight and growth is going great but I just feel like he’s not eating enough. If I don’t give him his milk or soup with a battle he will literally not ask for food. This same child also cries like crazy when he finishes his soup or milk but refuses more.

My little girl is teething right now and she won’t eat anything unless it helps her gums feel better: frozen peas, frozen corn, cold apple slices from the fridge, cucumbers, or baby food purées, snack packs, etc so she doesn’t have to chew. After that she’ll try the other food, especially if it comes with something she can dip it in (like ranch or ketchup) bc it is fascinating to her right now and that joy seems to trump her teething pain.

@Jade He poops daily and very well because of the soup so I know that (unfortunately bc it could have been a solution and fortunately bc constipation is horrible) isnt the problem. He chews everything and anything that isnt food. I thought it was pica but its not because he only does it for his gums. I wanna try not giving him milk during the day or soup but then I feel like a horrible mom even though I am trying it for his sake.
