Idk about you guys but it’s flu season and well of course with my luck I opted to not getting flu shot, and well seems I’m getting it. Any tips??? I think I’m starting the symptoms tomorrow I’ll call my doctor but anything to try to kill it before is too late.

I got my flu shot when it was first being offered at my work like a month and a half ago and I just got dealthy sick this week. I personally don't think there's anything stopping this one.

ER doc! Depends on the symptoms! More head cold or coming out of both ends flu?

So the flu shot is always an educated guess as to which strains will be most prevalent during the season. The flu shot changes. This year we gave two A strains and one B. I’m a nurse and from what I’ve heard from doctors - whatever strain is going around isn’t what’s in the vaccine. However, of course getting the vaccine should still cover you from getting too sick with the strains that are in the vaccine, as well as strains that are similar.
Tips when you’re sick: #1 see your provider so you can know if it is the flu. Stay as hydrated as possible! Lots of rest, and limit activity if you find yourself easily tuckered out. Being pregnant means you have more work to do in getting better. Preemptively ask for OB what meds that want you to take/avoid. Hope you get to feeling better. ♥️

If you catch it early enough they can prescribe Tamiflu to ease symptoms, but don't know if it's pregnancy approved.
