Help with formula

I’ve just moved to formula and just wanted to ask how others make up bottles. NHS say to let the water cool before making up the feed, but I don’t know how hot 70 degrees is 😅 Can you make up bottles in advance? It’s taking forever for the bottle to cool down and I’m not used to having to wait. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I boil kettle, wash and sterilise bottles then by the time that’s done (15 mins in Milton) water in kettle is a good temp so I make all my bottles for the day, then put them straight in the fridge! Then when I need them just microwave them to warm (Mam bottles) or put in a cool bag with ice pack for going out :)
Also have a nuby rapid cool which is good

We’ve done it so many ways and all have been fine 🤣 we’ve done it straight from the kettle and put into cold water to bring the temp down once the bottle is made, we’ve also pre-made bottles and put them in the fridge then warmed them with either water form the kettle or a bottle warmer. But our main way has always been the prep machine. Had it with our first and continued to use it with our daughter x

Same as above when baby was younger and much more impatient for the bottle I used to make up for the day and put in fridge then I used bottle warmer which allowed me to work with him while bottle was heating. Now he’s not as impatient so I just boil the kettle a wee while before I think he will be due and by the time he’s ready it’s usually cooled down or else I make straight from boiling and cool down with a jug of ice and water

Thank you all so much, really helpful to know. I’m a new mum and sort of feel I need to live by the NHS guidelines 😂🙈

do I need to let it cool right down before putting in the fridge and do you add the formula before or after going in fridge?

I make them up for the day in the morning boil the kettle let it cool 20 mins then make 6 bottles. I then leave the one out for his first feed and pop the rest in the fridge. Then I warm them up in a jug of hot water for the rest of his feeds. If we're going out the bottles are ok at room temp for Max 2 hours any longer I take a flask of hot water and bottle of cooled boiled water and make them up in the go using the hot shot method. I was combi feeding so made bottles on demand but this seems so much easier

Yes I let the kettle cool for about 15/20 mins and add the formula before putting in fridge

I do hot shot.
Bought a Nuby rapid cool but only used it once - waste of money - the hot shot was quicker!
