Culture

Love that there's a group like this...but why are so many posts focused on a child's hair??? Isn't there more to being mixed race, such as culture, experiences and history etc. Sorry if this offends anyone, I'm honestly just intrigued why this is the case.

For us, my husband and I are both American and he was raised by two white mothers so our cultures aren’t that different?

I think they are still very young to talk about culture and history πŸ˜…

The aim of the post was, why are there many posts about hair? That's the point that was made. πŸ˜…

Oh sorry haha, well maybe some of them are just worried for seeing the baby with straight hair πŸ˜‚
I really don't understand it either honestly, my son had very dark straight hair and then it started changing but i was never worried about the hair.

Why would anyone worry whether the baby's hair is Cury or straight πŸ˜… that's like saying you want to change their eye colour, which we obviously can't. I understand that hair products have been discussed etc, and I get that. Just very overwhelming that hair seems to be the majority of the focus. Again don't want to offend anyone.

We can't know the reason πŸ˜‚
Maybe they see older mix raced kids with very curly hair and they expect that from the beginning or i don't know.

some of us have straight hair and need recommendations so their child's hair grows nice and healthy? -a mom who wants to learn.
