Screen time

This can be a controversial one… but is anyone allowing their 7 month old screen time? I allow him to watch Ms Rachel at some points during the day as it’s the only way I can get stuff done.

I let my 7mo watch miss Rachel while I get stuff done he loves it and he also kind of tries to say the stuff she does like if she says ball he’ll be like “ba ba” so it’s honestly not that bad it’s helping them learn

Yup Jacob loves Ms Rachel more than he loves me I think lol. He watches it for a while whilst I get stuff done. He also has a 6yr old brother so is often found watching Ninjago, Spiderman or angry birds too 🤣

Honestly we have the TV on all day anyway. We spend most of the time playing with her though, the only time she really pays attention is if she hears memorable theme songs - such as Bluey 😅

Yeah we watch ms Rachel and dancing fruit. He will watch the tv regardless what is on it, whether it’s something I want to watch or something for him, so I really don’t think it makes a difference as it is always on anyway.

Yes, we watch Bluey or Miss Rachel, I don’t see the harm in a little screen time, to help get stuff done or just for your own sanity!

Our tv is on all day either on babytv or heybear but we are mostly with her and playing whilst it is on

Yep we let our lo watch ms Rachel on tv but we don’t show him anything on our phones or iPads etc.

Our TV is always on but she doesn't really pay any attention! My thoughts are if it's on all the time then it's not special. Did the same with my toddler she'll watch TV for a while then potter off and play x

If it's not fast changing scenery, can't remember the real term for it, I wouldn't worry. For example specific baby toddler programmes won't overstimulate in small doses, whereas things like paw patrol (lots of whizzing around and fast action) can cause disruption to them.
