dressing for sleep

what’s everyone dressing their babies in for bed now? i’ve just moved from a sleeping bag to a sleep outfit with a sleepsuit, vest and thick blanket and she’s still waking up whingeing halfway through the night - room is about 18/19 degrees but does drop in the early hours - need to do something but scared of overheating if i go too far

I feel like I’m constantly underdressing my little girl 😣 we’re in a new build so without the heating, in autumn, our bedroom is about 22/23 degrees at night, sometimes 24 in the day.

At the moment she’s in a sleep suit with no vest and a 1.5tog sleeping bag.

Sounds brutal but I always go by, cold baby’s cry, hot babies die. I know that’s scary but would much rather my little one be a bit chilly and wake me to add a blanket or a layer than the alternative. X

My room is about 18⁰C and I dress him in vest sleep suit and 1.5 tog, I co sleep sometimes in the night as well when he's unsettled so my body heat is an extra layer. At 18/19⁰C I would be far to scare to put him in anything thicker then 1.5 tog like other comment I would rather my baby cry and be chilly then too warm and potential die. Maybe ur baby is waking up because they are to hot? I've found that mine definitely runs hotter then I thought babies do he always stop crying when I remove a layer

Is she not waking for a feed rather than being cold?

i definitely feel it’s cold as she settles once i took her blanket in, it gets to 15 degrees at 3/4/5am in our bedroom so i just don’t see how a 1.5 tog bag is keeping anyone warm

My little boy just wears a sleepsuit and a 1.5 tog swaddle. No vest. Our room is usually 21/22 though x

vest, babygrow and sleeping bag (either 1 or 2.5 tog). if it’s feeling extra chilly i’ll pop a light blanket over her as well
