so my daughter (10m) was playing around and lost her balance, she tried to grab onto the closest thing which happend to be the tv stand, its supposed to be mounted but it looks like it wasnt installed properly, and her grabing onto the stand caused the tv to fall and land right on top of her..
i was close by but couldnt get there in time but i picked her up and coddled her and she soothed almost immediately, but now she has a welt and a little bruising
ive made her an appointment with the doctor already but they cant see her until wednesday, and when i asked if there was anything i should do in the meantime, they said just to hold her..
she's acting fine and walking as well as usual im just worried that she received some sort of concussion and how to make sure she'll be alright

Girl go straight to A&E, do not waste any more time!
thank you

It is always a good idea to be safe than sorry. However, I am a mom of very active (and clumsy) boys. Keep monitoring for signs of concussion (odd behavior, difficulty walking straight, vomiting, signs of headaches, or crying a lot). Check for youtube videos on more detailed ways to assess things like eye movement. I hope she feels better and heals quickly.
ive blocked it off from her reach until her father comes home and is able to re-secure it
she seems to be perfectly fine, she's very awake and when i sat her down to eat she diddnt have any problems feeding herself, she cant walk all by herself yet but she's keeping her balance well and is walking as well as she was yesterday

i’d still go in and have it checked right away, she could very likely have a concussion

As a nurse, I always go to ER for anything head injury related. I will say this, is she is eating/drinking normally, walking normally, not lethargic, has no clear fluid coming from her nose/mouth and is not projectile vomiting she is most likely fine. Babies skulls have sutures called fontanels which allow for swelling. I guess God knew that babies would need a little more love and grace given their nature to CONSTANTLY get hurt. Take a deep breath mama you’ve got this. If any of those things I just listed changes I would def take her in. Also you can take it a step further, turn off the light, take a flashlight, hold it at the side of her face and then move it across her face towards her nose and be sure that her pupils are reactive. You can watch a video with explanation on YouTube. Good luck and God bless mama bear!
