How are you keeping your children warm as it gets colder?

Need tips! My child won't wear coats this year even tho they did last year and won't even wear zip-up jackets, which makes me think it's to do with the zip but also don't like being wrapped up warm even tho I think it's cold enough for a coat I dint want them to get poorly not being wrapped up but they are super stubborn and has massive tantrums if I try put a coat on them. Anyone else having problems?
