How To Deal With Weight Loss Plateaus
Weight loss plateaus...we have all experienced the pain and torture these bring us. But I'm going to tell you the #1 way you can handle a weight loss plateau in this post!
first off, it's important to recognize that weight loss plateaus happen, and it's impossible to have perfectly linear progress. You'll have ups and downs...that is perfectly normal.
So what do you do about weight loss plateaus, WHEN they happen?
DIET. BREAKS. What are they? Basically, this is the
process of bringing your calories back up to
maintenance cals after you've been in a deficit for a
long time: 10,12,16+ weeks. You'll eat at
maintenance for 2ish weeks, and this will allow your
body to:
get another boost of energy to get by these last few weeks of dieting calories
will stop the plateau of making your body used to low calories
will break everything up, making the process more efficient and easier on your body!
Have you ever done a diet break before?

The thought of going into maintaining calories is scary but I think you're right!

I know it seem scary but trust the process

I’ve never tried diet breaks but what I do is add weight lifting or do the reverse and walk for an hr with no weights or ankle weights and vice versa. I also realized that taking breaks is key to give my body some rest and to be easy on myself. I don’t get the best results by rushing but being steady and making sure to feed myself like I’m supposed to😭I’ll have to also give diet breaks a try. I love fitness

Yessss! I worked with a nutrition coach before I got pregnant and this was her exact advice! 👏👏👏
