Baby started weaning early and we found that ever since, she was so restless at night, would wake up crying etc. Assumed was regression and now teething, we reduced some of the weaning but didn't remove it- no longer do solids in the evenings. I'm curious if anyone else noticed that when they tried weaning early that baby actually didn't sleep well and seemed more upset during the night?

How early are we talking?

How often were you offering solids? When first offering it should only be once a day.

Depending on how early ur talking it'll be because there stomach hasn't matured enough yet to handle and digest big people food yet, so probably got tummy ache n some constipated, there's a reason they say 6 months coz that's when there stomach can handle food a bit more x

That’s one of the very good reasons they recommend to wait til 6 months.
You should stop all solids immediately until your baby meets the requirements.

It was probably causing her stomach issues especially if as you said you started weaning early.

How old is your baby?

Babies shouldn’t be weaned until 6months when they can sit up and support their heads to avoid choking. Babies should only ever be weaned early if under the guidance of a paediatrician for medical reasons. I would stop all weaning with your baby until they are 6months and resume all bottle feeds or breastfeeds x

Even at 6m+ babies can have difficulty with gas and stomach upset after starting solids even more so if they're younger so I imagine that's whats happening. I would try to consult your ped to either stop solids and resume later or figure out what exactly is causing it
