Comforter for sleep

Does your 9 month old have a comforter in bed? (I mean a little cuddly toy)

We're going through 9 month sleep regression at the minute. She was back to sleeping through after about 2 weeks of it but she's now waking up through the night again and last night was particularly tough. She also refused to settle in her cot for her nap so she's sleeping on me at the minute. She isn't sleep trained but she's generally been very good at getting herself to sleep since she was about 8 weeks.

I'm just wondering about giving her a comforter but I don't know if it's safe in her cot? She only rolls over her right side - back to front and vice versa - she's never rolled over her left side. She also never sleeps on her tummy. I'm a bit anxious about safe sleep so I don't know whether to try a comforter.

Thank you 😊

I read something that said to wean them off dummies about 7 months and replace with a comforter, so I would assume a comforter is safe at 9 months x

Maybe give her the comforter and then wait for her to be asleep and move it away a bit so it doesn't go near her face

Yes she has a Binky since 4 months but she 9 months and walking already

@Sarah that makes sense then. She's a thumb sucker but that doesn't seem to be cutting it at the minute!!

@Chloe Colton I'd still worry about through the night if it was a case of doing that. She likes a shuffle round in her bed! I'd rather know she's safe to just be left with it

@Daniella Wow!! Wee superstar!

My sons 9 months and he’s had a comforter since 6-7 months really. He’s always been really good at removing things from his face.
He is a tummy sleeper and I check on him as he loves to shuffle around I also have a baby monitor to watch him.

Maybe see how she gets on with naps first! 😊 xx

My sons got a teddy bear about the size of my hand, not big enough to suffocate him but far too big to swallow. He holds it at arms length then brings it into his face over and over while falling asleep, it’s so sweet 🥹

I had the same question but I left it in his cot while I was sorting bits out and when he rolled it covered his nose slightly so i don’t think I’ll be doing that c

My little boy sleeps with two comforters 🤦🏽‍♀️he’s a front sleeper and moves ALOT in the night he’s normally down the end of the cot.

My son has a comforter - I got a muslin one which is super light weight so it’s completely breathable. I slept with it for a few days so it smelt of me and he loves it. Takes it to nursery for extra comfort and has it for all naps and bed. ATM, we give him it for bed and he keeps it in the cot with him whilst we’re downstairs and watching on the camera but when we go to bed, I take it from him and just pop it in if he wakes up. He tends to cuddle it and rub it in his hands to go back to sleep. Here’s the one we have: https://amzn.eu/d/dPbk45S)

Did you know this was a thing?

Didn’t know this existed! I’m actually not breastfeeding 2nd time round (though wish I did) after a bad experience with my 1st baby. But this is something I 100% needed 1st time round.

Screeching baby

I have twin boys, 5months.

One is very quiet

The other... is like a pterodactyl who screeches when bored, tired, hungry, as soon as he wake up to be held etc...
This habit has only just started!

Has anyone else experienced this and how long did it last?
So far it has been about 5 days 😭😭😭😭

Fighting naps

Does anybody else feel like they spend all day trying to get baby to nap? I get tempted to give up as he must not be that tired but he is too cranky to play or do anything else!

Joie Signature Parcel LX lightweight stroller

Has anyone got this stroller? Up until now we have used our mamas and papas ocarro and we love it. However we are going on holiday in June and looking at a lightweight stroller to take with us. I'm not bothered if it fits in overheard locker, I would rather have decent wheels on the stroller and this one does have slightly bigger wheels than most travel strollers we have seen. Has anyone used this stroller abroad or got any other recommendations? TIA x

Any experience with different teats?

Hey Mamas

So my little girl is exclusively breastfed but she wont even take FRESHLY PUMP milk from the bottle. I had a whole 4oz that was going to waste and baby girl was just massanging her gums and smiling lol :/
Ive tried adding extra holes with a needle, the ol' switcheroo (BF first then switch ti bottle) but she's very keen and notices straight away.
Im currently using Nuby and Tommee silicone bottles, and I would like to try more softer, boob-like teats.

Id ideally like her to take a bottle so Dad can give me a REAL break yknow.

Has anyone had this same experience? Any teats one would recommend?
Thank you in advance!
