At my wits end.

So, before I had our gorgeous little girl, we got two cats.
One is now 9 the other is 6. We're really having problems with the older cat now as he is trying to get into EVERYTHING.
From rooting in the recycling we have in a box in the kitchen and pulling out things to scrounge off of, to ripping open carrier bags looking for food! And now he is jumping up on kitchen surfaces to find food there too, literally will eat anything he can and hes making me furious.
My partner won't get rid of him but I am desperate to give him up as I've had enough and we have another baby on the way.
This cat is fed plenty of food and has everything he wants, I don't understand why he's doing it 🤬

I feel like this sort of behavioural problem at that age should be a sign that you need to get him to the vet. There's very likely something bigger going on.

I dont understand why you're immediately jumping to getting rid of him when actually he's not causing any harm. If he's fed plenty and is still acting ravenous? This suggests a medical problem. Take him to the vet instead of abandoning him.

Your cats were apart of your family before your child. They don’t deserve to be given up.
